Styrene board, whose scientific name is polystyrene foam board, is both a building material and a decorative material. It is generally used for partition walls and thermal insulation. It has a foam board in the middle and barbed wire grids on both sides. Most of them are used in furniture and electrical appliances (inner packaging, padding, in order to prevent damage to finished products during transportation) to provide insulation inside and outside the building.

1. EPS board (also known as styrene board) is the abbreviation of expandable polystyrene board. It is made from raw materials that have been pre-cured, cured, shaped, dried and cut. It can not only make foam products of different densities and shapes, but also produce foam boards of various thicknesses. It is widely used in construction, insulation, packaging, refrigeration, daily necessities, industrial casting and other fields. It can also be used in exhibition venues, merchandise cabinets, advertising signs and toy manufacturing. At present, in order to meet the national building energy conservation requirements, it is mainly used in exterior wall insulation, interior exterior wall insulation, and floor heating.

2. The EPS board insulation system is composed of special polymer clay, EPS boards, alkali-resistant glass fiber mesh and facing materials. It is a new building structure system that integrates thermal insulation, waterproofing, fireproofing and decorative functions. This technology places thermal insulation materials outside the building's exterior wall, does not occupy indoor space, has obvious thermal insulation effect, and facilitates the design of the building's appearance.

3. EPS foam is a thermoplastic material. Each cubic meter of volume contains 3 to 6 million independent closed bubbles, and the volume of air contained is more than 98%. Since the thermal conductivity of air is very small, it is enclosed in foam plastic. It is medium and cannot convection, so EPS is a material with very excellent thermal insulation properties.

③The construction of light steel gypsum structure is fast and can be installed and used immediately; styrene board requires certain processes and time;

④The middle of the light steel plaster is sound insulation cotton; the middle of the styrene board is foam;

⑤ Both are lightweight materials. If the former is equipped with sound insulation cotton, the effect is better than the latter. If the former does not have sound insulation cotton in the middle, it will be inferior to the latter.
