Materials and characteristics of core materials for color steel sandwich panels

1、 Material

  The sandwich materials of color steel plate are divided into foam color steel plate (chemical name is polystyrene color steel plate), rock wool color steel plate, polyurethane color steel plate,paper honeycomb sandwich plate and glass wool color steel plate.

（1）foam color steel plate is an organic material, which has the characteristics of light heat insulation quality and easy installation. In recent years, it has been widely usedOne disadvantage is that foam color steel plate is very easy to burn, which cannot meet the national fire protection requirements.

（2）Rock wool color steel plate is a new type of fireproof board with strong fire resistance in the color steel plate series. It is made from natural rocks, blast furnace iron ore slag, etc., 

    which are melted into filaments at high temperatures and then solidified into shape. Rock wool color steel plate meets the secondary fire protection requirements of clean workshops 

    and is an ideal structural decorative plate for indoor ceiling and activity room construction. It has a fire resistance performance of 600 ℃ and a fire resistance rating of A level. 

    Polystyrene and polyurethane are incomparable. Its core material is non combustible rock wool.

（3）Polyurethane sandwich panels are composed of upper and lower colored steel plates and foam polyurethane in the middle. 

    They are one of the widely used building materials in the current construction industry, with good insulation, heat insulation, and sound insulation effects. 

    Polyurethane added with fireproof materials does not aid combustion.

（4）Glass wool and phenolic foam sandwich color steel plate are slightly more expensive than foam and rock wool color steel plate. 

    Phenolic foam material is a polymer organic hard aluminum foil foam product, which is foamed from thermosetting phenolic resin. 

    It is lightweight, fire-resistant, non flammable in the presence of open flames, smokeless, non-toxic, and drip free. It has a wide temperature range (-196~+200 ℃) 

    and does not shrink or become brittle in low temperature environments.

2、 Characteristics

（1）The sandwich color steel plate installation is fast, and the composite plate has the characteristics of light weight, splicing installation, and can be cut freely, 

    which determines its easy installation, improves efficiency, and saves construction time.

（2）The sandwich color steel plate is lightweight, and a weight of less than 14kg per square meter can fully reduce the structural load and lower the structural cost.

（3）Durable, multiple studies have shown, and it has been widely used for more than 40 years abroad. 

    It has been proven that sandwich color steel plates treated with special coatings have a shelf life of 10-15 years. Afterwards, anti-corrosion coatings are sprayed every 10 years, 

    and the lifespan of the plates can reach more than 35 years.

（4）It has fire resistance performance, and the surface material and insulation material of the colored composite sandwich panel are non combustible materials, 

    which can fully meet the requirements of fire protection regulations.

（5）The appearance is beautiful, and the clear lines of the profiled steel plate can be up to dozens of colors, which can match the needs of any style of building to achieve satisfactory results.

（6）Insulation: The commonly used insulation materials for this composite board include polyethylene, rock wool, glass fiber cotton, polyurethane, etc. 

    These materials have low thermal conductivity. Therefore, it is widely used in modern architectural decoration.
