What issues should be noted in the installation of steel structures

When installing steel structures, attention should be paid to the following issues:

1. Before installing steel structures, all components should be inspected from multiple aspects, such as the number, length, verticality, and size of bolt holes at installation nodes, to ensure they meet the design requirements; Defects that occur during production and deformations that occur during transportation should be corrected and properly resolved on the ground

2. Steel columns and foundations are generally connected by pre embedded anchor bolts. Therefore, before installing steel columns, the size of the column foot bolts, the length of the exposed foundation surface, the elevation of the foundation top surface should be checked to ensure that they meet the design requirements, and whether the threads of the column foot anchor bolts are damaged. Measures should be taken during foundation construction to protect the column foot anchor bolts and their threads from being damaged

3. When lifting steel structures, appropriate measures should be taken to prevent excessive bending and twisting deformation, and corresponding pads should be added to the contact area between the rope buckle and the components to prevent damage to the components

4. After the steel structure is lifted into position, the support and other connecting components should be securely fastened in a timely manner to protect the stability of the structure

5. The lifting of all upper structures can only be carried out after the lower structures are in place, calibrated, and the supporting components are securely fastened

6. According to the lifting capacity of the installation machinery on the construction site, assemble them into larger installation units on the ground to reduce the workload of high-altitude operations
