Quality Control of Installation of Color Steel Plates in Steel Structure Factory Buildings

Today, let's briefly talk about how to control the construction quality of color steel plates.

[Reduce seams]

When lifting and transportation conditions permit, long specification boards should be used to reduce the joints of the boards, improve the insulation performance and waterproof effect of the boards.

[Plate fixation]

In the fixation of color steel sandwich panels, there is an overlap between every two transverse waves. The overlapping surface is sealed with sealing tape, then sealed with waterproof sealant, and fixed with self tapping screws and purlins.

[Screw density]

The end of each color steel plate shall not be less than three screws. At the middle support, when the spacing between the purlins is greater than 3 meters, at least one self tapping connecting plate should be overlapped on the purlins. To ensure the required overlap length, the overlapping parts should be connected with rivets and treated with waterproofing.

[Distance between rivets]

The overlap of edge wrapped color steel plates should be as downwind as possible. The overlap length should be greater than 2-5 centimeters, and the distance between rivets should be less than 50 centimeters. Self tapping rivets should be shot at the top and waterproof. Scratches and rust are not allowed on the color steel surface. If there are, remedial measures should be taken to paint or replace.
